Here are my projects for the hop: Crazy About Candy Corn card and treat topper!
And here is my trick for you: I didn't have any of the new Halloween designer paper, so I made my own designer paper!!! I used a lot of punches to complete these projects, but it was worth it. I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock and punched circles from my scraps of daffodil delight and pumpkin pie cardstock. I used the tombow multi mono adhesive to adhere the circles to the cardstock in a random fashion. Then I used another one of my favorite tools-The Big Shot and the Square Lattice embossing folder to emboss my cardstock with the colorful circles on it! Now this is not a new technique and I don't know who first thought of it, but thank you. The design and embossing add great texture to the card.
For the bats I used my owl punch and large oval punch. I love to make and give treats, so a treat topper was the perfect addition to this card.
Here is a list of supplies that I used: Cardstock-whisper white, basic black, pumpkin pie and daffodil delight. Stamp set: Teeny Tiny Wishes. Ink: pumpkin pie and whisper white craft. White gel pen. Punches: Owl, Large oval, modern label, word window, 1/2", 3/4" and 1 inch circle punches. Bigshot, Top Note Die and the Lattice Square embossing folder. 4x6 Cellophane bags. Dimensionals, Tombow multimono adhesive and mini glue dots.
I also have another trick for you: I staple my treat bag to the inside back of the treat holder
On the inside front of the topper I add glue dots, instead of stapling, which would show on the front.
