These cards are my throwback cards, I made many of these when I first got into card making. For my first card I filled it with holiday treats!!!
And this is how it looks when it is empty...
This is a standard A2 size card, it measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches. You can put gift cards inside, money lip balm, candy etc. How cool to give a Christmas card and a gift altogether. I made the paper shred with my baked brown sugar cardstock. Now it can get a little bulky, depending on what you put inside, but I just used a bigger envelope to package it in. I wouldn't try to send this thru the mail, unless I was sending it in a small box, this is a card that needs to be hand delivered. Now some people may not want treats (I can't imagine why not lol) so this next example would be perfect for someone who loves giving gifts....

And here is the card empty, well almost...
I went a little crazy when I started making these cards, you know why, its called the magic of embossing! Love embossing that's why I started stamping! Like I said this is a regular A2 size card and I used 2 pieces of the designer series paper from the Season of Style paper stack and the Winter Frost paper stack, that measure 4 1/8x 5 3/8 inches, these pieces go on the inside front and back of the card. I also cut a 1 1/2x5 3/8 piece of each paper stack to go on the top front of the card. I know many of you have made these cards before, so I will give basic instructions. Once you have all of your pieces adhered down to the card, find the center on the front of the card and fold the corners up until they are right on or a little bit above the 1 1/2x 5 3/8 piece of designer paper. Try to get the sides as close to each other as you can. Our SU cardstock is awesome and thick, so you will have to work at this a little, but it can be done! Punch a hole in the top of each corner and thread your ribbon or in my case seam binding thru the holes and tie in a bow, add some paper shred and you have made a throwback pocket card to fill to your hearts content!
